Flea Market Rules and Regulations

Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays

The following rules and regulations must be acknowledged by all Flea Market vendors by signing a rules and regulations document provided by the manager.

All available spaces are occupied by regular vendors on all Four days, however, cancellations do occur and the procedure for filling them is as follows:

Waiting List

1. Fill in all information on the Waiting List sheet tacked up on the office wall beginning at 6:00 AM on the day you wish a space, on Sundays you can show up by 8AM to secure a space. Phone reservations will not be honored.

2. Regulars must advise the manager of their intent to cancel by 6:45 AM. At that time their space will become available on firs come first serve basis, subject to the Manager's discretion; for that day only. In order to maintain their regular space, vendors must arrange on a regular basis. vendors who fail to attend three consecutive market days will be placed on a first come first served basis. NO FOOD DRINK OR PLANT ITEMS MAY BE SOLD.

* Counterfeit goods: Anyone found to be selling such goods will be subject to instant dismissal from the Flea Market !

3. Set-Up Period: 6:30 AM to 7:00AM Should regular vendors not arrive by 7:00AM, Their space shall be given away for the day. No phone call to reserve your regular space.

4. Parking: Vendor parking is not permitted on the MARKET premises, except to load and unload, (please do not use the parking space to set up!) Also, if you are waiting for a cancellation for a space, your vehicle must be kept in the public lot in the back of the MARKET until such time as you are given a space. As soon as you have finished unloading, you must move your vehicle to the public parking lot in the back of the market building or pay a parking fine of $100. Continued violation of this rule will subject you to dismissal from selling at this Market.

5. Departure: The earliest time vendors may place chairs in parking spots behind their space, is 4:00PM. If the market is busy, this may be extended to 5:00PM.

6. Current Rent Policy

Daily rental Spaces:

Wednesday and Friday: Single Space = $35.00

Wednesday and Friday: Double Space = $65.00

Front, Prime Spaces: Single Space = $40.00 - $45.00

Saturday: Single Space: = $40.00

Saturday Double Space: = $75.00

Front, Prime Spaces: = $40.00 - $45.00

Sunday Single Space $ = $30.00

Sunday Double Space = $55.00

Front, Prime Spaces = $40.00 - $45.00

Rent is subject to change without notice

Collection of Rent: First visit cash only upon set up

Second and Beyond: Flea Market Manager will collect at set-up or before 9:00Am or 10 AM on Sundays

If weather forces an early departure after set-up, but before noon the charge will be $15, Any other reason for your departure, the rent will be the usual full day amount.

7. Independent Contractors: All Flea Market vendors are considered independent contractors and are thus responsible to carry their own personal or business insurance liability, accident, medical, theft, etc.

8. Display Information: You must bring your own tables and table covering. Covering should be at ground length and preferably a solid dark green, the color of the market is green.

**No canopy structures over 6' will be permitted. (The color dark green is also preferred)

**Clothing racks are only permitted in the back of your space so as not to block view of vendors on either side. Customers may not use the market restrooms for trying on clothes.

9. Cleaning: Before leaving, spaces must be clean and cleared of all trash, paper, boxes, and soda cans as well as cigarette butts. If this is not done, your space will be taken away from you. Unfortunately, trash facilities in the back of the flea market as well as Wisconsin Ave. sidewalk, due to capacity limits and city ordnance are not available. Thus, you must take all trash and boxes with you when you leave. There are no exceptions to this rule. Your space will be checked after you leave, if it is not cleaned, you will not be permitted to return.

10, Other Points: Any abusive language or physical abuse will not be tolerated. All or both parties will be dismissed immediately!

Be courteous to all farm Market Customers as well as other Vendors.

Bring your own change for your customers. The farm Market cashier has only enough for the customers (quarters for parking is OK.)

Flea Market vendors will be responsible for their customers' checks

Vendors, your customers may not use rest rooms to try on clothes.

Closing time is 5PM, certainly not after dusk.
